この日は湘南ウォーキング。
やって来たのがこちらのカフェバー。
場所は、茅ヶ崎のサザンビーチちがさき海水浴場の目の前。
以前は、ジタンというカフェが営業していたのですが、
2023年2月28日に閉店し、2023年7月1日にこちらのカフェバーがオープン。
世田谷区に事務所を構える、株式会社 ダブリューの運営するカフェバーで、
会社自体は、ブランドコンセプトの立案、広告代理業務、WEBコンサルティングなどを
手掛けているのですが、飲食業も行っており、東京の池尻大橋近くにあった
Bar WAVE プリンセス美容室がこちらに移転して朝から営業するカフェバーに転身。
入口付近にメニューの掲示が有りますのでまずはそちらを拝見し、
数段あるステップを上がってテラス席を横目に店内に入ります。
先客はいませんのでお好きなところにどうぞとの案内。
店内は、2名掛けソファ1卓、4名掛けテーブル2卓。テラス席の方が席数は多いと思います。
私は店内の4名掛けテーブルに座ることにしました。
メニューを拝見しますが店頭に掲示されていたものと同じでしたので、
・WAVEカレー 2100円
スパイスチキンカレー＆イカスミカレー
をオーダーすることにしました。
正直2100円は、財布の軽い私にとっては清水の舞台から飛び降りるくらいに
ビビる値段設定なのですが、どう考えてもこれがイチオシに思えましたので（＾＾；
お店は、女性お一人で切り盛り。
ただし同じくスタッフと思われる男性と女性は打合せ中でした。
店内は白を基調として海の目の前というまさにバケーションな雰囲気。
本当は青い海が目の前に見えるテラス席がオススメなんでしょうけどむっちゃ暑い日で（＾＾；
BGMは洋楽ポップス系が流れていました。
セルフのレモン水のお冷を飲みながら出来上がりを待ちます。
10分少々で出来上がりました。
・WAVEカレー
渋い青地のプレートでのサーブ。美濃焼とかそんな雰囲気の。
中央にターメリックライスをお互いのカレーソースを堰き止めるように盛っています。
その中央にひと際高く盛られているのは茅ヶ崎の名勝であるえぼし岩をかたどったもの。
そこに爽やかな乾燥ハーブを散らして。
ライスの量は250g前後くらいでは無いでしょうかね。ちょっと物足りなさを感じましたので、
それよりも少なかったのかも知れません。男性であれば大盛＋100円でもいいかもね。
やや固め炊きで普通に美味しいライスでした。
サイドには付合せとして大根の桜漬けと、玉ねぎと胡瓜のピクルス。
ピクルスってほどハーブ＆ビネガーな味ではなくてサラダと書いてもいいのですが。
そして片側にはスパイスチキンカレー。
カレーソースはブラウンな色味で、具はほぐした鶏手羽元肉と骨付きの鶏手羽元が1本。
スパイスというネーミングですがスパイシー大好きな私からするとそれほどでもなく。
私基準でカレーを作ると一般人は厳しいのでこれでいいのですが (T▽T)ノ_彡☆ばんばん！
複雑な味わいで美味しいですよ。
もう片方にはイカスミカレー。
こちらはさすがにブラックな色味になっています。具はイカの切身。
イカスミらしい少し磯と肝の風味がしますね。イカの身はわりと柔らかい仕上がりに。
一緒に煮込まずにイカの身を後から追加したんでしょうかね。
スパイスチキンカレーとは全く異なるテイストですので飽きないです。
この内容で2100円。この時点ではカードか現金でしたので現金でお支払い。
すぐ右隣にもSAN BY AIRというカフェがあるのですが、その時と同様の印象を持ちました。
やはり目の前が海というロケーションのアドヴァンテージがありますので、
テナント料もそれに応じて高くなるでしょうし、それがお値段に反映されるのかも？
正直言ってカレー一皿で2100円は高いと感じます。
ミシュラン☆が提供するランチカレーとか付加価値があれば別ですけど。
例えば2100円にしてもサラダとドリンク付きにすれば全然印象が違ってきます。
＋300円でセットドリンクが付きますが、2400円を払ってまで付けませんので、
であればサービスで付けちゃった方が結果的には売上が伸びるかも知れませんよ。
お値段に関しては文句めいたことを書いていますが、
カレー自体の味は美味しかったですし、接客も良かったですし、
何と言っても目の前がサザンビーチちがさきというロケーションは素晴らしいと。
