Shonan walking today. I came to this Spanish Cuisine restaurant. The location is a corner of a shopping street about an 8-minute walk from the west exit of JR Hiratsuka Station. The owner chef opened this restaurant on June 25, 2019 after training at a long-established Spanish Cuisine restaurant in Yokohama for about 10 years. It's relatively recent. There are many French cuisine and Italian Cuisine restaurants, but there are not many Spanish Restaurants. There are a lot of Spanish bars though. This is one of the few Spanish Restaurants. One of the attractions is that it's reasonably priced. This is a restaurant like that, but I decided to visit this place with a reservation for the meat main lunch course for 2,035 yen, planning a lunchtime drink with a great value lunch course. This course requires reservations. Still, it's 2035 yen including tax, so it's reasonable. I arrived at the store at 11:00, which is the opening time. After announcing your reservation, you will be asked to disinfect your hands and have your temperature taken. Inside the store, there are 4 counter seats along the kitchen. Around it are 1 table for 3 people and 3 tables for 4 people. There is also an area in the back with 3 tables for 4 people. I thought I would be directed to the counter, but I was told to go wherever I wanted. When I looked at the counter, I felt it was a bit cramped as it wasn't very deep, so I decided to sit at a table for four in the front. The restaurant is run by two people: a male owner/chef and a female staff member. The chef seemed younger than I expected. The interior of the store is based on white walls, with dark tables and chairs. The overall atmosphere is reminiscent of a Mediterranean resort. The BGM is flamenco, typical of Spain. I've made a reservation for the meat main lunch course, but I look at the menu for a while, wondering what to drink. So, here's what I received today.・The Premium Malt's Raw 605 yen Served in a glass. Around 280ml. It seems like they are pouring it on a divine bubble server or something, but I don't really understand it. Delicious is delicious though.・Assortment of 3 appetizers: Kisses escabeche, smoked salmon pinchos, and Spanish omelet. Everything was just plain delicious. The use of paprika powder and the unique seasoning flavor derived from escabeche are typical Spanish characteristics. It was also unusual that the pintxos had thin pickled chili peppers stuck in them.・Marquez de Tulia White Glass 550 yen White wine from Valencia, Spain. The grapes are Viura and Sauvignon Blanc. Table wine quality.・Salad Salad with boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, paprika, cucumbers, onions, mizuna, and lettuce. It was topped with an onion dressing similar to French cuisine dressing. It is usually delicious. However, it doesn't have much of a Spanish feel to it, so I think it would be better if it had more of a Spanish feel to it. It's a great course.・Soup Tomato soup. The ingredients are bread and cheese. Sprinkle some parsley on top. Cheese is the type that stretches quite a bit. The soup has a strong tomato flavor, but it also has a salty and garlic flavor. It's also pretty dark. I could eat half a baguette with just this. However, it's also delicious at the same time.・Bread baguette. Make incisions in two places.・Marquez de Tulia Red Glass 550 yen Click here to finish your drink. Red wine from Valencia, Spain. The grapes are Syrah and Bobal. Red wine, like white, is of table wine quality.・Main Cocido Madrid-style stew, a traditional dish from Madrid, Spain. Pork belly, chorizo, chickpeas, carrots, potatoes, and cabbage are simmered hot. Like the soup, this one also has a strong flavor. It has a strong flavor and at the same time a salty taste. However, each material had its own unique characteristics. Susumu-kun drinks enough to use up a bottle of red wine. If you tear apart a baguette and add it to the mix, it will be delicious.・Dessert Crema Catalana. A sweet from the Catalonia region of Spain, similar to creme brûlée. The characteristic feature is that the candy coating on the surface is thick and hard.・Hot Coffee Choose hot coffee as the drink included in the course. It was machine quality with a bitter taste. This ends at 3740 yen. I think it's definitely reasonable. However, I had the impression that the flavor was too strong. Especially with tomato soup and cocido madrid style stew. Maybe that's a characteristic of Spanish Cuisine. It might have been more convenient to have lunch with a la carte dish such as pintxos instead of having to make a reservation for the course. On this day, there were about half of the customers, but everyone was there for lunch. Lunch prices start from 880 yen, which is reasonable and comparable to a popular Cafeterias. I like Restaurants 's attitude of not stretching itself. The customer service of the owner and chef was also wonderful (^^) Thank you for the meal! (As of 2024/1, 3.33 points)
