川崎の繁華街メーン通りの雑居ビルにあります。5階にあるので、分かりにくい。その上、看板も目だたない。
ボロいエレベーターで上に行くと、重厚な扉が待ってました。重たい引き戸を開けると異次元のような空間が目に飛び込みました。窓はなく、長いカウンターと椅子席。奥には個室が見えました。
テーブルに座ってカウンター奥を見ると、沢山の種類のウイスキーが並んでいます。ほう、ウイスキーを後で飲もうと決めました。
ウイルス騒動の煽りで、基本はコース料理のみにしているそうです。なので全部のアラカルト料理を準備出来ないと聞いていました。サラダや前菜から一品ずつ選んでいき、焼き野菜や海鮮から海老を選び、ブラウンマイスターからシャンパン、そして聞いたことのない癖の強いウイスキーをロックで数杯飲んだら、気分が最高に良くなりました。何を食べても美味しい。アラカルトがレベル高そうだったので選んだお店でしたが、ずばり当たりました。
肉が美味いのは当たり前です。和牛は食べたら絶対に美味しい。なので、何で勝負するかが大切です。このお店は、他の料理のレベルとワインやウイスキーの種類の多さでアピールしています。
最後はシャトーブリアンをいただきました。表面をカリッと焼くタイプが個人的には好きですが、ここは柔らかめの焼きでした。でも、とろけるような赤身で最高に美味しい。100gと量は少なめですが、それ故に最後のガーリックライスも美味しく食べられました。ニンニク抑えめで残念でしたが。
隠れ家のような分かりにくい場所にありながら、ほぼ満席状態でした。知る人ぞ知る川崎の名店だと思います。
