京急川崎駅から徒歩2分程度の場所にある気軽に入れる大衆酒場。本日は、上司と一緒に久し振りに川崎までやって来た。予定していた取引先との面談を無事終えたことから、魚屋あらまさで一杯飲むことにしたのだが、料理内容が自分達のイメージとはちょっと違うことから、1時間程度で退散して別のお店で飲み直すことに。そこで我々が選んだのが、魚屋うおまさの直ぐ傍にあった当店。事前情報は全く持ち合わせていなかったが、店内を覗いてみると結構混み合っているので、外れる可能性は低いと判断し思い切って入店してみた。店員さんに2名である旨を伝えると、運良く空いていた奥の方にある2人用のテーブル席に案内された。
まずは飲み物ということで、上司・私ともいきなりメガハイボール（一杯目限定：350円）で乾杯。食べ物の方は、暫し検討の結果、鶏セセリの柚子胡椒焼き（490円）、太陽の焼き餃子（6個：320円）、ポテマカ合い盛り（490円）、川崎モダン焼き（620円）を注文することに。注文後、直ぐに出て来たのがポテマカ合い盛りで、これは安定感のある美味しさ。ポテサラの上に乗っていたカレー味の揚げ物については、この時点では何だか分からず。当店名物の太陽の焼き餃子は、一口サイズだがジューシーで旨い。鶏セセリと柚子胡椒は私の大好物なので、鶏セセリの柚子胡椒焼きは当然気に入ったが、香ばしく焼かれた長ネギも甘みが感じられ美味しかった。私が今回一番気に入ったのが川崎モダン焼きで、ボリューム満点で食べ応え十分。
その後、カレー風味のパリパリ（320円）と肉豆腐（450円）を追加注文。ここでようやくポテサラの上に乗っていったのが、当店裏名物のカレー風味のパリパリであることを知ったのだが、これは後を引く美味しさ。肉豆腐は、牛すじと牛タンが入っているのが珍しい。2軒目ということで、それ程品数は注文できなかったが、お勘定は一人当たり2000円強とコストパフォーマンスも良好。豚バラスタミナ焼き（590円）、骨付き唐揚げ（1個：110円）、ホエールの大目玉焼き5（450円）、シロコロホルモン焼き（590円）、ガーリックチャーハン（590円）など、まだまだ味わってみたいメニューが沢山あったので、また機会があったら再訪したいお店である。
