暖簾分けした高田店に何回もお世話になっていながら、平間の本店は敷居が高くて積年のBMテーマだった。
会社が店の近くに移転したのを機に今般オヤジ二人と若手女子の三人で探検隊を結成して初訪問した。
遵守しなければいけないルールが多いと専らの噂の店だが、「全員揃って待ち列待機・入店要」「最初に全て一括注文要（ドリンクを除く）」というのが要旨。若手女子のセレクションで以下を一気にオーダーした。
・上タン塩焼き×2
・上ロース塩焼き×2
・カルビ塩焼き×2
・上ロース(ハラミ)塩焼き×2
・上ミノ×2
・キャベツ×3
三人で食べるにはかなりの量をお願いしたが、全てのメニューが感動的に美味しく、ペロリと平らげてしまった。特に上ロース塩焼きは絶品。
壁一面に店を訪れたボクサー、プロレスラー、力士他の写真が貼られており、井上尚弥・那須川天心・亀田兄弟・白鵬といった大物が大将と一緒に写っている。大将曰く、ボクサーは試合後数日間は減量のリバウンドで大食いができない為、4・5日経ってからこの店を訪れるらしい。ちょうど井上 vs. ネリのスーパーバンタム級タイトル戦の四日後の訪問だったので、4団体統一王者と一緒に焼肉を食べられる可能性もあったのだが、残念ながらこの日は最後までチャンピオンは現れなかった。
