On this day, we had a girls' night out at this restaurant ♪ "Kimuraya Honten Musashi-Kosugi" This restaurant is located very close to Musashi-Kosugi station. I thought it would be an open-style seating area, but there was a small private room in the back. We had made a reservation this time, so we went there ♪ The first drink was peach jasmine tea. It's rare to find jasmine tea in a mixer, isn't it? For the appetizer, we had pickled raw whitebait and marinated horse mackerel. I was surprised to find raw whitebait in Musashi-Kosugi! And to think that it was even served as an appetizer! Seared Hokkaido raw octopus carpaccio The raw octopus was thick, soft, and delicious! The wasabi added for a refreshing taste. Scallop rare cutlet They say they use scallops from Hokkaido. The meat was big and juicy! It went perfectly with the tartar sauce♪ The hotpot was recommended, so... We had a fair going on. You could choose two of the following shabu shabu soups at the mug lettuce: flying fish broth, Hot pot, family-style tonkotsu, sesame tantan, tomato, or shrimp broth. Shiroko and the others chose flying fish broth and shrimp broth. The set included... Specially selected loose meat and vegetable set The main dish at the fair, mug lettuce. It's amazing how a big mug is filled to the brim with lettuce! The meat was sweet and delicious! I stewed the vegetables in shrimp broth for a little while, and the broth soaked in and it was delicious! Tonpeiyaki The aroma of the sauce was appetizing! For dessert... Early summer peach Gelato and Hokkaido honey Bubble tea milk tea Bubble tea boom has finally come to Izakaya (Japanese-style bar)! I was able to pour my own milk tea. It's interesting that there's not only Sweets but also Bubble tea to finish off the meal! There is a limited fair menu every two months, so it's nice that the menu has a seasonal feel! In June and July there was the Hokkaido and Tohoku Fair, so there were all of Shiroko's favorite foods. Check out Shiroko's blog here: http://kapilog.yutabi.net/
