だいたい１年程前のことだろうか… 初めて「シカゴピザ」という分厚いピザの存在を知る。
当時調べたものの取り扱いしているお店が少なく、なかx2 タイミングが合わず食す機会が無かったのだが、この度念願のシカゴピザを食しに「武蔵小杉ガーデンファーム」さんへ。
時刻は週末のランチ時。お得なランチセットにオーソドックス？？？なシカゴピザが白・黒・ピンクの３種類。白はチーズ、黒はイカスミ、ピンクはベリーとのこと。セットではないがアラカルトメニューにもう１つ別のシカゴピザ「明太子」が。他の３種より気持ちプチお高いが明太子の方が見た目ゴージャスっぽく映ったので、せっかくだし「明太子パスタシカゴピザ」を頼むことに。
シカゴピザは焼き上がるのに時間がかかるとのことだったので、繋ぎのツマミとして「チェダーチーズポテトフライ」も併せて注文。
ちな注文方法は最近流行のQR読取タイプ。
注文して待つこと数分、先行でフライドポテトの到着。チーズがいい感じに効いており旨々、揚げたてで美味しい。
お芋さんをハムx2 してると、お待ちかねの「明太子シカゴピザ」の登場！！ 写真の撮り方が下手クソで申し訳ないのだが(汗)厚厚である！！ 厚みがあるせいかイメージより直径は小さい、ミニピザ的な感じ。
店員さんからはピザカッターに加えてハサミも渡される、外側の生地は硬めなのでハサミで切って下さいとのこと。さっそく入刀！デローンとなる。
味はチーズと明太子がマッチしていてデリシャス♩ ちょっと意外だったのは生地がピザというよりパイに近いかも、これはこれで美味しいが♩ 後ポテトもそうだったのだけれど塩分がチョイ強めかな？ お店の雰囲気的にもお酒を進めるために濃い目にしてる感はある。
初シカゴピザは良い体験となった。ご馳走様でした！！
