Open from 12pm on weekends and holidays! Specialty: Salt-Dressed Offal [Domestic] Fresh offal grilled on a charcoal grill... The secret to its deliciousness is the homemade salt-dipping sauce! You can |
Today I had an offal lunch at Nino-Tetsu, located at the entrance to a Showa-era retro shopping street, a minute or two walk from Mizonokuchi Station. Nino-Tetsu is part of the Tamai Group, a group that dominates Mizonokuchi and is known for its extremely cheap pork offal. At the east exit, there is a restaurant called Tetsu-tetsu- from the same group, and the menu is almost the same as that of the restaurant. The restaurant has a Showa-era retro atmosphere that is not to be outdone by the shopping street, with two counter seats, three table seats, a long table that can seat about 10 people, and three seats outside and on the second floor, so it is a fairly large restaurant. There are counter seats, so it is nice that you can easily come in even by yourself. [Payment] Total: 2,504 yen [Menu contents] ◾️4 grilled dishes ⚪︎Toro tongue ⚪︎Top offal ⚪︎Pork skirt steak ⚪︎Tongue bottom offal ◾️Drinks ⚪︎Highball (Kaku) x 2 Toro tongue is the part of pork tongue that is said to be the base of the tongue. The meat is cut thick, but lives up to its name of fatty tongue, and is easy to eat with a crispy bite. It is served with the skin on, so it has a fragrant flavor, but the rough surface of the tongue, called the papillae, stands up when cooked, so it may not be recommended for people with sclerophobia. If you don't mind, this is a dish you should definitely try. The pork skirt steak is refreshing and goes well with the salt sauce. The innards under the tongue take a long time to cook, but the tendons are tasty and go perfectly with the gentle miso sauce. Each item is cheap, so I didn't expect much in terms of quality, but it was just as tasty as usual, and I was pleasantly surprised. If it was near my house, I would probably go there often. Thank you for the meal.
