お得なカレーランチ
溝の口駅より、少し奥まったところに店を構える「シャグン」。
ランチ時は、いつも満席。待ち行列が出来ることも多そう。
店内は50席ほどで、広々という感じでは無いが狭苦しい感じも無く、窓が大きく明るくて、よい雰囲気。
今回はランチセットB、800円を選択。
このセットの構成は、カレー2種類(マトン、チキン、シーフード、野菜、玉子、日替わりから選択)、サラダ、ミニライス、ナン、ドリンク。
カレーは、マトンと日替わり(この日はキーマだった)を、ドリンクは、ラッシーを選択。
ナンは、厚さは薄めで、パリッとしたタイプ。そのまま食べても、甘みと塩気が良いバランスで美味しい。
マトンカレーは、トマト系の酸味にスパイスの複雑な風味が絶妙で、なかなか美味しい。
キーマカレーは、スパイスの風味はなかなか。私的には、あと一歩、コクが加わるともっと良くなると思う。
ナンが大きく、さらにプリン大のライスまで付いているので、なかなかのボリューム。この日は、カレーの配分を見誤り、ナンを食べ切る前にカレーが無くなってしまった。まあ、前述のとおり、ナンはそのまま食べても美味しいので問題は無いのだが。
この味とボリュームで800円は、結構お得ではないだろうか。
まだランチでしか利用したことがないが、このレベルのランチであれば、ディナーも期待大。
今度はぜひ夜に訪問したい。

When you think of Indian Cuisine in Mizonokuchi, Shagun is the place to go! It's no exaggeration to say that it's such a long-established restaurant. I used to go there many times, but I stopped going there because of COVID-19, and before I knew it, it had been five years since my last visit. When I tried to enter the restaurant, the staff quickly opened the door from inside and welcomed me in. Even though I was alone, they guided me to a seat by the window. This restaurant has a wide, bright window with a good view of the outside, so I was a little happy that they gave me a seat by the window. The lunch menu is a curry set or a biryani set. This biryani takes time to make after you order it (※), but it is very delicious, so I was wondering whether to get the biryani or not. (※) Sorry, that was the case five years ago. I don't know if it's still the case, but I hope it's still the case. In the end, I decided on the curry set B (two types of curry). I chose chicken curry and daily curry for curry, naan or rice for naan, and iced chai for drink. I was wondering whether to add the tandoori option or change the naan to cheese naan, but I've been eating less recently, so after consulting with my stomach, I decided not to have either of those. I was staring blankly out the window for a while when my order was brought to me. Daily Curry The daily special for this day was turnip curry. It was watery, the spices were straight-up effective, and it was spicier than I expected! But the sweetness of the turnip was highlighted and it was very delicious! Chicken Curry This was a thick, typical Indian Curry. With one bite, the complex flavor of spices and broth spread throughout my mouth! It was mild at first, but then the spiciness kicked in! Ah, it was so delicious! Oh, by the way, I realized halfway through that I forgot to specify the spiciness! So, even though both were spicy, they weren't that spicy. I actually prefer something a little spicier, but because I didn't specify the spiciness, I was able to really enjoy the flavor of the roux and the ingredients, so I'll call it a good thing! Naan A thin, crispy naan. It's delicious as is! It's even more delicious with curry ingredients on top! It's even more delicious when dipped in curry! This is only 900 yen? It's so cheap!! It's still as delicious as before, and the cost performance is also good. It was the best! Also, the floor staff are wonderful! They are Indian, so they speak broken Japanese and seem unfriendly, but they are always looking around the floor and come to pour water right away. Also, all the floor staff said "Welcome" when I entered the store and "Thank you" when I left. Furthermore, they quickly opened the door when I entered and left. It was like, what high-end Restaurants is this? Wow, I'm so satisfied!! Thank you for the meal!! Next time, I think I'll try the biryani set.
