There are several delicious curry restaurants in Mizonokuchi, but today I'm going to Shagun, a famous Indian Curry restaurant! Let's go inside! The interior of the restaurant has a luxurious feel that is unique to Indian Cuisine restaurants. The tables are large, and compared to the local Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), there is plenty of space between the tables, so it is much more relaxing. The staff are well-mannered and don't make any unnecessary movements, which makes a good impression. Today we are dining together for two, and we ordered the following. - Kingfisher 700 yen x 2 As you know, the king of Indian beer. It's delicious! We were served fried noodle-like snacks and green chili paste as an appetizer. When you bite into the snack with the paste, the refreshing spiciness of the green chili passes through you. It's delicious - Alchat (spicy potato salad) 600 yen Boiled potatoes, tomatoes, and green peppers mixed with masala, with a slight sourness. Garnished with green onions. My craving for masala is satisfied!・Kachumbar (Indian salad with plenty of onions) 550 yen Ketchup-like spice sauce, cucumber, onion, tomato, chickpeas are soft. It's good to be able to eat a lot of raw vegetables. I guess I wanted to eat vegetables that day, and the alchat and kachumbar completely satisfied my veggie cravings! ・Chicken Biryani 1,320 yen The specialty of the restaurant seems to be mutton biryani, but I was in the mood for chicken, so I ordered chicken biryani. This is delicious! The spices are relatively mild, but the aroma is rich. The butter and coconut give it a pleasant sweetness overall. The tandoori chicken is boldly cut into chunks. The basmati rice, which is covered in the aroma of burnt chicken, is also delicious. When you mix it with the raita (spiced yogurt sauce) that comes with it, it's refreshing, but you can feel the depth of the spices with every bite. It's so delicious that you can't stop eating it... Shagun is the best!・Hot Chai 450 yen x 2 This is a chai where you add your own sugar. I think 6 spoonfuls of granulated sugar is just right. The spices I've eaten so far all make sense. It's very soothing. I was full and very satisfied, and when I paid the bill, it came to 4,770 yen. Cheap! This is an amazing place. I had no idea there was a place like this nearby. Not only do you get a good amount of spices, but it's also easy to eat. The balance of spiciness, sourness, sweetness, and umami is wonderful. It was so delicious!
