土曜日のLunchに、柿生駅近くの焼肉店を訪れた。この地に古くからある人気店で、道路拡張に伴い数年前に新築移転した。おめあては、日曜日以外にいただけるお得な“焼肉ランチ”である。昼前だったが、テーブル席はかなり埋まっている。
ライス・スープ・キムチ・サラダ・冷奴付の「和牛カルビランチ」1,280円を“ライス大盛りサービス”でオーダー、「生ビール 中」600円で乾杯する。ほどなくロースターに火が入り、薄紅色に輝く“和牛カルビ”が着皿した。
美しく厚いカルビには見事にサシが入っており、肉質の良さは一目瞭然である。網に載せて焼き始めると、途端に焼肉の芳香に嗅覚をくすぐられる。ミディアムレアの焼き加減で口に運ぶと、まず極上のやわらかさに圧倒される。続いてジューシーな身から上品な旨みが口いっぱいに広がり、とろけるような美味さである。おのずと生ビールもぐいぐい進み、しばし幸せな気分に浸る。
韓国風“冷奴”はさっぱりとして、箸休めに最適である。たっぷりの“テールスープ”も本格的な味わいで、最後は白飯とコチュジャンを投入してクッパ風にしてたいらげた。
美味い焼肉をお得に楽しめる“平日ランチ”、帰る頃には待ち客が店頭にあふれていた。
