☆☆ restaurant, which won the 1st International Seaside Cultural City Yokosuka Landscape Award design award, is innovative and stylish while still retaining the charm of the early Showa era. The atmosp |
The other day, I went to a restaurant called "Mansai" in the back of the Mikasa Building in Yokosuka. I had nowhere to go, so I just walked around looking for my favorite restaurant. The entrance to a dimly lit alleyway. It's kind of scary when it's this dark. I'm not familiar with the geography of this area, so I started imagining all sorts of things in my head. What is this old retro feeling? What kind of restaurant is this? It's not a public bath, is it? I'm a person who has a really big head no matter how old I get. I timidly looked inside the restaurant and thought, "Oh my, it's so nice!" But it's not a photo of me... First of all, I had some ruby. Phew, it was delicious! The appetizer was a kind of Korean-style seaweed, typical of Yokosuka. This would go well with rice. Four kinds of sashimi on this day: bonito, sea bream, and warasa? Tuna, shrimp mayo. The shrimp was huge and the presentation was gorgeous. This was enough to satisfy me. Was it fried white liver with ponzu sauce? Sorry I forgot the name, but a standard green tea highball is served around here. Deep fried gizzard shad is called gizzard shad in the Kansai region where I was born. We were seated near the entrance that day, but it seems to stretch all the way to the back. Who would have thought that such a good restaurant could exist in an alley like this. A dark back alley and Ramen that you don't know you've been there until you go inside! A haiku However, I felt that there were not many items on the menu. Personally, I would like to see more.
