滑り込みランチ
I got my long-awaited deep-fried spring rolls...
I had lunch alone again for business in the center. I found Vietnamese Cuisine I was looking for last time, so I went back... There were about four groups of customers in the restaurant at lunchtime, and the kitchen seemed busy. I was guided to a table with space between each person, and when I sat down... I was tapped on the side and the waiter smiled. Maybe because it was the same day last week, or maybe because we had chatted, he remembered me and greeted me. Since I was alone, I was happy to hear his greeting. Last time, I ordered the lunch menu, but this time I ordered the only Vietnamese Cuisine I remembered from before. It was a dish of dry rice noodles with vegetables and fried spring rolls. This time, I didn't have much time, so I thought I would just get by with this, but I gave in to the waiter's smiling recommendation and ordered iced coffee (lol). The dish I had been longing for (I forget the name of the dish right away) was crispy spring rolls and crisp raw vegetables with a sweet and sour sauce based on nuoc mam, which was refreshing on a hot day. (If I were to be greedy, I would say that the noodles seemed a bit overcooked.) If you add the garlic-flavored spicy sauce provided (I used a lot), it adds depth to the flavor and is delicious. The iced coffee was sweet, like Korean dalgona coffee, and was delicious, like a sweet dessert. Although my English is poor, the friendly service made for a pleasant and delicious lunch time.
気取らない異国の食堂
昨夜、急にエスニックなお料理が食べたくて何の気なしにベトナム料理店を探したら、まさかの地元にあったなんて。
早速、横須賀中央に出たついでという口実に用事を済ませて来店。タイ料理や韓国料理店はいくつかあるのですが、
ちょうどランチタイムの時間ですが、店内は2組のお客さん。いづれも外国人。この辺りは米軍基地が近いので軍関係の外国人客も多そうです。
実はベトナム料理はあまり経験がなく、初めて食べたベトナム料理の名前は知らないけれどもう一度食べてみたくてベトナム料理店を探していたのですが…
メニュー見ても無さそうに見えたのでランチセットのフォーとご飯、牛肉とトマトのキュウリ炒めなるものを注文。
片言の日本語ですがとても愛想の良いお姉さんだったので注文後に、私の食べたかったメニューを尋ねるとちゃんとメニューにありました(笑)※揚げ春巻きの乗っかった米の汁無しあえそば(名前教えて貰ったけど覚えられませんでしたw)
そんなこんなでお料理が運ばれてきました。
メインのフォーとご飯、おかず。生春巻きとえびの揚げ春巻き。ライスペーパーの春巻きは揚げてあると食感も中華の春巻きとはまた違う歯応えでとても美味しかったです。
どれも優しい味わいで食べたかった味でした。
私の探してたメニューもあるので近いうち再訪します。
お会計の時のお兄さん(オーナーさん？)もとても気さくで知ってる限りの日本語でガッツリお話してくれ、１人でしたがとても気楽に美味しい一時を過ごせました。
帰るときも外国人客が入店。日本人客いないんか？(笑)
そんな雰囲気も実は好きなのでこれから知らないメニューを少しずつ開拓してみたいお店でした。

久しぶりに牛肉のフォーを食べに行きました。病院の帰りで遅くなり、ランチ終了の5分前。14：55でしたが嫌な顔せず、いつものランチセットの牛肉のフォーをいただきました。毎回同じメニューなので写真は無しです。あっさり目の豆の入ったデザートも美味しかったです♪
