仲間うちのパーティで、東林間の“薪ピザ店”を利用した。昔から人気のこの店は近年規模を若干縮小、現在は多摩地域と神奈川県央地域に４店となった。ここ“東林間店”は小田急線の車窓からよく見え、沿線で目を引く存在となっている。
今日は「4,000円プラン」に、「ハウスワイン＆生ビール飲み放題プラン」1,500円を付けてお願いした。まずは生ビールで乾杯、“シーザーサラダ”をつまむ。生野菜がシャキッとして、さわやかなオープニングである。次の前菜は“プロシュート”や“おぼれ蛸”など、本格イタリアンの味わいで、辛口の白ワインにスイッチして楽しんだ。
骨つきの“スモークチキン”はじっくり燻され、風味が抜群である。石窯で焼かれたミラノタイプの３種のピザは、どれも生地がパリッとして心地よい食感である。中でも、春の訪れを感じさせる“菜の花と大山鶏のピザ”が特に美味である。
飲みやすい赤ワインをオーダー、“牛ほほ肉の赤ワイン煮”をいただく。厚切りだがやわらかく、ジューシーで極上の美味さである。続いて大皿で供される“鱸のポワレ”は、焼け目がこんがり香ばしい。上品で香りのよい身は、まさに旬の味わいである。締めの“魚介のパエリア”は、有頭海老やムール貝がごろごろ入った豪華な大皿である。
食後のデザートとコーヒーで「プラン」はフィニッシュ、美食の数々にすっかり満腹となった。仲間とワイワイ楽しめるカジュアルなイタリアン、人気の所以だろう。
