日曜正午前の訪問。入口で声をかけ店内を見渡し、適当であろう4人掛けテーブル席に着き、机上のメニューパネルより カツ丼そばセット700円に決め、可愛らしい笑顔が印象的な女将であろうお母さんへ 温そばでオーダー。
腰痛持ちで高齢の大将に敬意を表したり、仲睦まじいご夫婦であろう厨房からの会話に耳を傾けたりすること、およそ7分で配膳されました。
■カツ丼セット
・温そば
一般的といえる量の半分程度であろうか。
七味を軽くぶっかけたあと、美しい袋から取り出した箸を丁寧に割り、一啜り分のそばを手繰って軽く息を吹きかけ、豪快に音をたてて啜れば訪れる達成感。
熱いつゆは、出汁の香りが立つもののやや薄味。茹で時間はやや過剰であろうか。
手繰っては啜る。薬味ネギを加え七味を更に追加し、手繰っては啜る。
特別に美味いそばではない。
・カツ丼
一般的といえる量よりもやや少なめであろうか。
カツからは揚げたて特有の芳ばしい香りがする。
切り分けられた一切れ分を丁寧に摘まみ、慎重に口に運べば訪れる小幸せなとき。
やや揚げ過ぎた感は否めないものの、サクサク感が心地良いカツ。
こちらもやや薄味であるものの、醤油を加えたくなるほどではありません。
度肝を抜かれるほどの美味さは感じられない平均的なかつ丼であろうか。
この内容で700円。感謝価格である。
