I found out about this restaurant last year when I visited [a:14084682, Restaurant Le repos] next door, but I couldn't bring myself to visit. This time I ran out of stories about this area, so I decided to check it out. Inside the store, there is a kitchen in the back and customer seating in the front. There are sofas and tables lined up, but perhaps to maintain social distancing, a large stuffed animal is placed on a portion of each table, limiting the number of seats. The overall interior is casual, but the seating is bright and comfortable. The menu includes a variety of Onigiri, salads, Sweets, etc., and drinks include the usual ones, but they seem to be putting a lot of effort into herbal tea. The special feature of this Onigiri is that Onigiri and the ingredients are separated. Onigiri themselves are made by machine using Akitakomachi. It just has seaweed on it. There are 18 types of ingredients in total. We have everything from common items such as plums, kelp, and salmon flakes to rare items such as mackerel and chashu. The style is to choose your favorite toppings and add your own toppings to Onigiri. For the toppings, I chose salmon flakes and grilled pork flakes, and I received two Onigiri. The rice was warm and firm enough. The grip is just right, neither too hard nor too soft. The level of perfection of recent Onigiri machines is amazing. The apple pie and mille-feuille I had for dessert were pretty average, but the main Onigiri were delicious. A lunch of miso soup and rice balls might be good once in a while.
