I visited Gentoyaki bar "HERO", which is a 1-minute walk from Hashimoto Station (all seats are private rooms, smoking is allowed). What is Gentoyaki? It is a method of grilling fish or meat skewered around charcoal, which removes excess fat from the food, leaving it crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. This time, we had a summer course that included such primitive grilling. The appetizer is a salad with charcoal-grilled summer vegetables, and the sashimi is a luxurious 3-item platter including tuna. Yakukan Chuhai (Shochu cocktail) is a must, as it will not go away no matter how much you drink it. The long-awaited original grilled octopus from Hokkaido was Akamebaru. One fish per person, so you'll want to take a big bite! Is this also primitive grilling? The wagyu beef tataki was also excellent. Steamed shellfish with plump clams. The final meal is squid-style Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), an extremely luxurious course! The sake that changes depending on the day is Tenmei from Fukushima. The homemade French cuisine for dessert was so delicious that I ate it completely. The staff girl was also cute and the store was nice. Thank you for the meal!
