On this day, the ban on climbing was lifted amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had not even opened the mountain for myself in the 2020 season. It would be sad to end 2020 without ever climbing a mountain, so I decided to at least climb Mt. Oyama on a solo climb. I planned to start climbing when it was getting light, so I left home in the early hours. On the way, I stopped by here. It's a good idea to eat plenty of rice before climbing to avoid getting too tired. Especially since this is my first climb of the season. It's around 4 o'clock, but there are still customers at this time. I often use Gyudon (Beef bowl) chains before climbing, but they are rarely fully booked. I sit at the counter, but unfortunately the breakfast set meal starts at 5 o'clock. In that case, my choices are Gyudon (Beef bowl) or curry. I was interested in clam soup on the menu, so I ordered Gyudon (Beef bowl) size clam soup set (570 yen). It was already a good deal, but I had a coupon, so I got an additional 50 yen off. As you would expect from Gyudon (Beef bowl) restaurant, it was served quickly. I've been there before, but the bowl of clam soup and the bowl of Gyudon (Beef bowl) bowl are about the same size. First, I set up Gyudon (Beef bowl). I poured a lot of shichimi on it, then topped it with beaten eggs and plenty of pickled ginger. Gyudon (Beef bowl) tasted the same as usual. The clam soup was saltier than I expected. This is the saltiness you want after descending the mountain. Well, I guess it's fine to consume it beforehand. The clams are definitely in the taste, but the smell of seaweed seems to be strong. I felt that it wasn't pure shellfish soup, perhaps because they added dashi. Still, I was able to fill my stomach enough before climbing. I'm grateful that they're open at this time of day. Thank you for the meal. After this, I headed to the trailhead of Mt. Oyama and started climbing. I climbed via Oyama Fudo, watched the sunrise at the lower shrine of Afuri Shrine, and then went straight to the summit. It's been a while since I last climbed, but I was able to climb well.
