優勝候補の二度ステーキ
静岡から鎌倉へ。
乗り換えは小田原らしい。
ならばずっと来たかったこちらへ途中下車。
名前が一緒の「響」な店は無数にあるけど、どうもここはその中の優勝候補なのだ。
11時半のオープンに合わせて訪ねるとなんだか店の前に人が多いなあ、これはひょっとして…と吸い込まれていくみなさん。ランチ、予約で満卓なの…？？
そして見事に自分たち以外は妙齢のマダムたち。
そう、ど平日のアフタヌーン、ホテルのラウンジを満たしているあの手のマダムたち……。
これはいやむしろ期待感が高まるばかり。
最初だからオススメの特製ヒレステーキをお願いしてみる。
サラダを食べたらえび、アスパラ、大根を焼いてくれる。ちまちまつまみながらヒレステーキが焼かれるのを。今日は150gに。肉を食べ終わった頃にもやしが炒められる。締めにもやし？変わった順番だなあ、と思っていたら、再び焼かれる肉。そうかあれで半分だったか。完全にライスマネージメントを失う自分。
いや、もう150gの感覚さえ失っているのか。食べなさすぎだ。
食後はアイスコーヒー。
デザートもつくがお腹いっぱいでパス。
気づいたら客は自分達だけ。
以外に食べるの早いなマダムたち。酒も飲んでるのに。
分けて出してくれるから冷めない肉の気遣い。
しかといただいた。
バターを使わずに塩胡椒だけで仕上げるしっかりとした赤身肉は確かに年配者にも優しい仕立てだけど、自分達にも十分刺さる仕立てでもある。
優勝なるか？？

小田原の駅前にある大人気の鉄板焼き屋へ1年に1回訪れるルーチン。ランチもおそらく予約必須。
スペシャルランチは海外だけどスペシャルヒレランチは国産。去年は130gの特選和牛ヒレにしたけど今年は普通のヒレを100gにしてみる。
130だともやしを食べた後にもう一回肉が出てくるけど100だともやしで終了。量はいいけどちょっとだけ寂しいかもしれない。
前菜のエビはやはり美味い。ついてないコースもあるようだけどこれは食べておきたいやつ。
ガーリックライスがランチでも頼めるようになったらしい。まとめて作ってあったのを出してくれるスタイル。逆にいうとヒレの脂が少ないところでもガーリックライスが食べられる。それは素晴らしいこと。
名札をチラリとみると担当してくれたのは斉藤さん。
鉄板焼きは焼き手が全てだというけど…素晴らしかった。ちょっと踏み込みすぎにも見えるペッパーの量がかなり好きな感じ……！
次は指名したいぐらい。
できるのかな？
