When you leave the east exit of Odawara Station, there is a small shopping street on the left. More than half of the place is a restaurant and drinking area. I visited at 5pm on a holiday. It was the kind of time when you are told to "go and drink." I wandered around wondering which restaurant to go into. Then, I somehow chose this restaurant. It looked like Grilled skewer Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). I went in right away. The previous customers were a couple who seemed to be in their 40s and a pair of men in their 20s. I was alone, so I was guided to a counter seat near the kitchen. First, the menu. When I tried to look at the alcohol menu, a young female waitress said, "Today, we recommend XX and △△." However, as a drinker, I wanted to drink alcohol quickly. I could have snacks after that. It was not malicious, and she told me the restaurant's recommendation for the day, but I was a little premature. So I added a note saying "draft beer first" and ordered the "beef loin skewer" from the recommendations. I Other ordered chicken breast and shishito peppers. First comes the draft beer. The brand seems to be Premium Malt's. Otooshi is a taro that seems to have been boiled and then lightly grilled. It's so delicious! I learned a new way to eat taro. Now, the recommended beef loin skewers are here. It's a delicious Grilled skewer that is soft and has a beefy aroma. However, it comes with coarsely ground mustard, which I think would have been better if they had added it as a "preference" option. It's not bad, but I feel like the taste and aroma of the mustard erases the flavor of the beef. And the chicken breast. This one comes with wasabi mayonnaise. Since it's chicken breast, it's normal to "grill it with wasabi," but with this, the mild flavor of the chicken breast is overwhelmed by the taste of the mayonnaise. I would have liked this to be served as an "accompaniment." And the shishito peppers are a standard vegetable for Grilled skewer. They're not spicy, but they have a stable taste with the aroma of chili peppers. I ordered another draft beer and a highball for my third drink, but that's it. I'll pay the bill. Grilled skewer are delicious, but the sauce and spices used are quite strong, so I would have appreciated it if they made it an option for customers. However, it's not a bad place to get a light snack of delicious Grilled skewer.
