小田原駅近くに在る錦通りは、ここのところチェーン店方式のお店がどんどん出店してきています。駅に近いほうから日高屋、町田商店系の小田原商店、磯丸水産、いきなりステーキ、そして今日伺った「串カツ田中 小田原店」さん。
小田原駅東口周辺は老舗も多く〝新しいものを受け容れ辛い゛という小田原の気質がありますが、ここ一帯は古くから在ったお店を改装して新しいものを受け容れています。
さて本日伺ったのは9月28日に新規オープンした「串カツ田中 小田原店」さんです。
実はオープンの日の17：00少し前に一度伺ってみたのですが、あいにくの満席と予約で約一時間待ちとのことで断念。2度目のチャレンジでの訪問となりました。オープン当日はチンド屋さんも出て、なかなか華やかなオープンでした。
まずはお約束であるお通しのキャベツとソースが運ばれて、ソースの二度付け禁止等の注意事項の説明がありました。
いただいたのはホッピーの白（残念ながら私の好きな３冷ではなく氷の入ったタイプ）、さくら肉のさいぼし(馬肉の燻製)、串カツ牛、うずら、鱚、紅しょうが。さいぼしをいただきながら一杯目のホッピーを飲み干し“ホッピーの中”と同時に串カツが提供されました。
串カツは熱々サックサクで美味い。ホッピーが進みます(笑) 「紅しょうが」が実にいい感じでリセットしてくれて2ラウンドに進みます。角ハイボールに串カツ牛、海老、タコを注文。〆に「かすうどん」を食べたかったのですが、油に弱くなった御年頃ですので、ここで上がりです。次回こそ「かすうどん」を頂きたい。
