富士屋ホテルは箱根のランドマークばかりではなく世界の著名人に愛されつづけるホテルですが、これまで国道沿いのパン屋さんで買うことがあっても中に入ったことはありませんでした。
今回ラウンジのアフタヌーンティーを予約し訪れましたがその壮大な佇まいに圧倒されました。
アフタヌーンティー自体にスペシャリテ的なものはないようですが、ムース系の滑らかな仕上がりやドゥミセックの焼き具合など基本に忠実な王道的菓子の数々でした。
日本で発展したロイヤルミルクティーですが、富士屋ホテルさんのミルクティーはウイスキーの香りをまとっており、ホットの場合はハチミツが用意されていてお勧めどおりに入れてオリジナルを楽しみました。
