高知県高知市にある喫茶店。
現代企業社って会社が運営元のようだ。
検索で見つけてなんとなく立ち寄ったのだが、客席に案内される間に好きになってしまった。
ちょっと暗めの店内は好みが分かれるかもしれない。
私はこういう感じがよい。
もともとここの創業者が芸術系の人で、高知で喫茶現代というお店をオープン。
店名を変えて今はファウスト。
二号店がここメフィストフェレス、トリトンなどの神話系の名前が多いようだ。
高知県は喫茶文化が発展しているそうで、現代企業社は布教者の役割を果たしたのだとか。
コーヒーは420円。ケーキを足しても1000円未満なのはかなり良心的かと思う。
サイフォンで淹れたコーヒーは苦みしっかりだがバランスがいい。
モンブランもお願いした。これも奇はてらっていない、オーソドックスだが栗の味がちゃんとして満足感のあるものだった。
クラシックのかかる店内でちょっと本を読んだり、話し込んだり出来る。
こんなお店があれば「コーヒー文化が根付いてる」って言われても納得だ。
