高知市中心部の帯屋町に この店は有ります。
リッチモンドホテルの西隣の おびやまち小路に有るのですが、決しておしゃれな店とかではなく
路地裏の居酒屋と言った風情です。
店に入ると 髭を蓄えた店名通りの関羽の様な大将が一人でやっています。
ここは 高知では珍しい肉だけの串焼き屋で老舗です。
店が狭いので場所は知っていても 満員でなかなか入店することが出来ません。
開店5時半なのに 5時頃から並んで待っているお客さんも居ます。
メニューを見ると、なんだかアヤシイ名前が出ていますが、お肉は中々美味しいものを出してくれます。
また 量も多いので3人前位食べると けっこうお腹が張ります。
この店は、串を打った肉を炭火に直接乗せて焼いています（網なんかは有りません）
すぐに焦げるので、大将がつきっきりで焼いてくれます。
この店の白モツは濃厚な甘目のタレでかなり美味しいです。
また 分厚く切られた茹でタンは、塩をパラリとふりかけて練り辛子を付けていただきます。
当然 ビールがオーソドックスですが、大将手製の「人参酒」を是非ともお試しください。
