Today I visited Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) Gyeongbokgung. There is this one and Yamada branch. This is the only place where you can get weekday lunch. After watching a Korean historical drama, my wife said she really wanted to try surasan and porridge, so I went with her lol. It's on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and sunken kotatsu seats, and about 70% of the restaurant is occupied. Now, when I was looking at the menu to order the main porridge lunch, I saw that the porridge lunch was "Reservation only"... Reservation only!! Oh well. What I wanted to eat was the bibimbap lunch lol. In the end, my wife ordered the vegetable chijimi lunch lol. Bibimbap lunch: Stone-grilled bibimbap with surasan and salad. Self-serve dessert and drink are included. Sweet and spicy, with a nice burnt texture. Surasang, hmm. There are various spicy ingredients, including chijimi. Soondubu jjigae (cheese): I ordered it as a single item. It was spicy... The cheese made it milder, and I could feel the richness of the spicy flavor and the taste of the Soondubu Jjigae. I didn't eat it because I was sweating a lot, but it wasn't that I didn't like spicy food. I just didn't like it lol. It was delicious.
