Remarks |
: Designated Kumamoto Prefecture Beef Store We have been dealing in Kumamoto's brand of wagyu beef, "Wao," for 12 years. We purchase directly from the wagyu beef auction house and divide each cow into 16 blocks (chunks of meat), which are then butchered and served one by one in our store. Everything from butchering the blocks to cutting into pieces of meat is done by hand. Because we butcher from the block, you can eat not only rare cuts such as Chateaubriand and Zabuton, but also extremely rare cuts that you won't even find in a butcher's shop. We buy the whole cow in order to preserve the culture of Japanese wagyu beef and Kumamoto wagyu beef. We even have the opportunity to meet the producers and see the cows being fattened. We would like to be a store that serves Kumamoto wagyu beef to many people and supports Kumamoto producers. While it is a time to eat meat, we also want you to enjoy your mealtime. We want you to feel the atmosphere, expressions, and emotions of someone who is happy eating delicious meat. It is with these thoughts in mind that we cut each and every piece of meat. |

Melt-in-the-mouth Wagyu beef "Wao" + A secluded, relaxed space with jazz music playing + A slightly luxurious yakiniku restaurant
"Gyurikisha" is located a 5-minute walk from Suizenji Station. The menu of their proud Japanese Black Beef is lined up in a large sign, which is their trademark. The meat they purchase is carefully se |
I've always wanted to try this restaurant because it had a good rating on Tabelog. The location is a little hard to find, especially at night. The building is like a renovated house, and the interior is more like a room divided by roll curtains rather than private rooms. The menu is made up of wagyu beef. I ordered the wagyu platter. While looking at the menu with an introduction to the cuts of meat, I ate while saying, "Wow, this is the meat they serve here." Other people said, "The value for money is great!", but it's not cheap. It's wagyu beef, so it's quite expensive. There are soups and rice bowls on the side menu, but they don't seem to be very creative, and I wish they would put in a little more effort. My comment was harsh, but it didn't make me say, "I'm so surprised there's a restaurant like this!"
