九州新幹線の熊本駅でランチになり、新幹線の改札を出る前に、ふらりと立ち寄りました。火の国うどん700円を食券を買って店内に入りました。入ってからわかったのですが、改札の中から入ると立ち食いで、改札の外の待合室から入るとカウンターとテーブルで座って食べられるお店です。新幹線に乗る前、またはこれから改札を出るなら、待合室側から入った方が良いでしょう。食券を渡してから3分ほどで出て来ました。熊本名物のカラシ蓮根が入って、お肉の甘さもあって、しっかりコシのあるうどんを美味しく頂きました。
