All-you-can-eat kushikatsu is rare in Kumamoto! You can order as many skewers as you like or as individual items!
"Kiyota" is located one street away from Namikizaka. It is a popular bar with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Their proud Fried Skewers are made with carefully selected oil and sauce, giving them th |
I used it for a party the other day. There are two courses for all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink: 90 minutes for 3,500 yen and 190 minutes for 4,000 yen. This time, I chose the 4,000 yen course. The restaurant was almost full, and they said they couldn't prepare Fried Skewers in time, so even though it was before the time, they said it was okay to drink first, so we started with the alcohol. lol By the way, drinks are self-service. (Basically, drinks and Fried Skewers are self-service.) Soon, the skewers were ready, so we put them into Fried Skewers machine installed on the table. We waited a while until they turned color. After that, we put them on a drainer and dipped them in the sauce, which you cannot dip twice. I expected it to be more oily, but it was surprisingly light. I couldn't stop eating. Freshly fried skewers are delicious. It's fun to fry them with friends while chatting away. It has a similar vibe to BBQ. As for the alcohol, they don't just offer the usual Shiratake, but Akamaou and other brands, and you can enjoy what would be considered premium shochu at other stores, all you can drink. It was busy today, and they were late in serving the skewers, so they served our group a 5-go bottle of Maou. (It was pretty good.) Drinks are made by yourself, but the beers are not low-malt beer, so I think people who like alcohol will enjoy it. Fried Skewers also started with vegetables, and just when I thought I had finished eating, someone else placed an order. It was not greasy and went down quicker than I expected. When I left the store, I was given the ballpoint pen shown in the photo as a business card. This is not a cheap one made in China. There was no manufacturer's name on the barrel, so I looked into the length of the ballpoint pen and the position of the stopper, and I think it is a Pentel Vicuna. It actually feels very smooth and low viscosity when I write with it. I would like to refill the ink and use it for a long time. The store name and phone number are engraved on the barrel, not printed. I think it's worth 500 yen. (As an aside, I think the replacement refills are Pentel BXM5H (0.5mm) or BXM7H (0.7mm).) The store itself isn't that big, so I don't think it's really suitable for company parties. Next time, I'll go with a small group of colleagues. (Older people might only want to Fried Skewers...) What's particularly noteworthy is the homey atmosphere. There's no sense of intimidation, and some regulars even do the dishes. You can really tell that. It's been a while since I've had Fried Skewers as a snack, and I drank quite a lot. After I got home, I fell asleep in front of my PC without realizing it, and when I woke up, it was already dawn. In a way, it's an edgy store, but personally, I love it. I'd like to go again soon. No, I'll definitely go again. By the way, I don't recommend this place to people who call themselves gourmets. Yes. I recommend [a:43004369, Kushiage Tatemi]. However, although there are few reviews, it was full of customers, and I felt that there were many regulars. Thank you for the meal.
