主人と熊本に旅行に行きました。せっかくだから馬刺しが食べたくて探したのですが
かなりお高くあきらめて、ホテルの近くにある「菅乃屋 西原店」さんへ。
口コミにもありましたが、カントリー風のおしゃれなレストランです。
焼き肉と洋食で席が分かれています。
主人は「熊本デコポン仕立て馬タタキのっけ盛りハンバーグ」
私は「ホホ肉シチュー＆ハンバーグ」を選びました。２人で４０００円くらい。
メインが来るのを待つ間ブッフェ形式のサイドメニューを取りに行きます。
サラダ類やパン、カレー、スープ、ソフトドリンク、デザートまであります。
個人的にはサラダの所にある「こんにゃくと山菜」が好きでした。
後は最後の方に出てきたパンの「いちじくのパン」が本当に美味しかった。
そうこうしているとメイン登場☆
タタキのっけハンバーグは「じゃらん」に載っていたそうで
写真をイメージしていた主人はその小ささにテンション↓
写真って大きく写ってますよね～＾＾；
見てない私でも小ささにちょっとびっくりしたほどなのでそこは加味して行かれるといいと思います。
さて、お味はどうかというと
皆さんが書かれていたように普通です。いや、美味しいけど馬って感じるわけじゃなく
わざわざ馬肉じゃなくていいじゃん、と思ってしまいます。
タタキもソースや大根おろしがかかっているため、馬なんだかどうだか・・・
そこで私はソースなど全部どけてタタキを食べました。ほんのり甘くて美味しかったですよ。
それにハンバーグは本来アツアツを食べるものですが、
私達夫婦は猫舌のため、冷ましながら食べていると
程よく冷えたハンバーグは「馬！」ってわかるほどではありませんが
合いびきや牛とは違う風味がしっかりして楽しめました♪
最後にこれまた期待大だったカレーを食べてみましたら
馬のスジ肉がごろごろで美味しかった～～
ただ、残念な事にホットプレートに乗せてあるのですが、そのプレートの
温度設定が低すぎてカレーがぬるく（ご飯の方が熱かったくらい）粉っぽかった。
アツアツならもっと美味しかっただろうな、と思います。
また行くかはわかりませんが、ちょっと贅沢な旅行のディナーとしては満足でした。
接客も普通でしたよ。
