I went to Kumamoto for work. I wanted to eat horse meat, a Kumamoto specialty, so I went there for lunch. They also had Wagyu beef, but I wanted to enjoy horse meat, so I ordered Yakiniku (Grilled meat) horse meat yakiniku course. The course included rice, a drink bar, and a salad bar (soup, dessert, and Soft serve ice cream), but due to the effects of COVID-19, the salad bar was in the form of Small dish to go. Yakiniku (Grilled meat) had no odor, and you could choose from three types: salt, Yakiniku (Grilled meat) sauce, and salt sauce, and it was very delicious! I Other ordered the following items as single items: Horse sashimi (belly) Horse sashimi (thigh) Raw horse liver Horse negitoro minced cutlet. The fresh, odorless sashimi was also very delicious, but the negitoro minced cutlet was a new sensation! The negitoro minced horse meat was lightly breaded and fried, and I was surprised by the contrast between the half-cooked minced meat inside and the hot, crispy texture on the outside! In any case, it was a delicious and satisfying lunch where I was able to enjoy horse meat to the fullest!
