Dinner time for the first time in two years on the day of visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
In December 2023, I visited this memorable hotel for the first time in about two years for a slightly delayed Christmas dinner. Due to my age, my family usually eats dinner early in our daily lives, so when we go out, we prefer the earliest dinner time that starts around 17:30 as much as possible. However, even though Christmas has passed, it is the end of the year, and the only option available when making a reservation was the second dinner plan that starts at 19:30. However, thanks to that, I had hurt my knees and ankles from hiking up to the summit of Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (Ichinomine) early in the morning on the day, but I was able to enter the hotel immediately after check-in time in the afternoon (14:00 onwards), take a break in the room, and the pain in my feet eased a little. In the evening, I went to visit Toji Temple, being careful not to push myself too hard, and after taking the hotel shuttle bus from JR Kyoto Station back to my room, I was able to relax in the room again. At 19:30, we went to Restaurants at the reservation time. Since I was still worried about the pain in my knees, my husband basically brought the food from the buffet corner to the table. I like the hors d'oeuvres served here in small portions. The other dishes, such as Steak and clam chowder soup, were also very delicious. While my husband and I were enjoying a leisurely dinner, reminiscing about our memories from two years ago and our recent visit to Kyoto, the pain in my leg started to subside, so I decided to go and have dessert myself. By that time, the buffet corner had calmed down, probably because other people had also been enjoying their meals at their respective seats, so I asked a staff member if I could take a photo of the interior of the restaurant. It was late in the second part of dinner time, so there were already few dishes and desserts left, but I was impressed to see that the staff checked and quickly replenished the dessert plate after it had been emptied.

京都旅行３日目（最終日）の、モーニング
2022年1月、三十三所巡りのため訪れた京都旅行３日目の朝食。
この日は、大津の三井寺、伏見の醍醐寺、宇治の三室戸寺を巡って、帰途に向かう予定です。
今回訪れたそれぞれのお寺には、それぞれの雰囲気があって、見どころも多く、境内を歩いていると、あっという間に時間が過ぎていきました。
最終日のモーニングは、主人と共に今回の京都での参拝の数々の思い出や、ホテルのみなさまからいただいたご配慮への感謝などについて、静かに語りつつ、日常の朝食よりゆっくり時間をかけて、しっかりと、いろいろなメニューを美味しくいただきました。

京都旅行2日目ディナー
2022年1月、京都市内三十三所巡りの日のディナー。
朝早くから市内のお寺巡りをし、夕方にはすっかり疲れ切って、ホテルに戻りました。
夕食の予約時間は午後5時半だったので、いったん部屋に戻って休憩し、お茶を飲んでくつろいでいた時、連泊のありがたさをしみじみ感じていました。
この日は、ゆっくりランチをする余裕もなく、各お寺を参拝していたので、部屋で休憩して回復すると、すごくお腹が空いているのに気がつき、予約時間にレストランに向かいました。
昨夜のディナーで、豊富なメニューから少しずつ選んでもお腹がいっぱいになることを学んでいたため、2人別々にブッフェメニューをいただくのではなく、どちらかが選んでテーブルまで持ってきたお皿から分け合って、量を調整しながら、ゆっくりとデザートまで楽しむことが出来ました。
前日のディナーメニューとは違うものもあり、同じメニューで美味しかったものはこの日もいただいて、京都2日目のディナータイムも大満足で過ごすことが出来ました。

京都旅行２日目のモーニング
2022年1月、三十三所巡りのため訪れた京都旅行２日目の朝食。
この日は、できるだけ早い時間にホテルを出て、清水寺など市内の５つの寺を参拝予定のため、とにかく、しっかり朝食をいただき1日をスタートしようと、開店時間にレストランに向かいました。
そんな時間ですから、まだ人は少なく、静かでゆったりした気分で、おばんさいなどいろいろなメニューを少しづついただきました。
どれも美味しそうなので、ひとくちずつをイメージしていただくのですが、やはり、いつもの朝食とは、あきらかにボリュームが違ってきます。
さらに、朝食にも、魅惑的なデザートコーナーはもちろんあって...。
結局、この日はホテルに戻って夕食をいただくまで、お寺巡りのスケジュールの途中、お茶休憩をしただけで、ひたすら京都市内を参拝して歩いていた1日となりました。
結婚記念日ディナーの思い出
2022年1月、結婚記念日に主人と2人、西国三十三所巡りのための京都小旅行として、このホテルに予約を入れてありました。
昨今のご時勢により、いろいろ状況が変化する中、ギリギリまで悩みましたが、3回目のワクチン接種を済ませ、可能な限りの対策をして、予定通り訪れることに。
このホテルは併設の駐車場があるため、自宅から車で向かうとホテルにそのまま車で入れます。
夕方早めにチェックインした際に、フロントでのなにげない会話の中で、”実は、ギリギリまで悩みながらも、結婚記念日旅行なのであきらめきれず、訪れました。”ということや、”3回目のワクチン接種を済ませてきました。”などのお話をしたところ、この日のレストランでのディナーの際には、スタッフの方から「結婚記念日、おめでとうございます。」とお花をいただくなど、2泊3日の滞在中、細やかなお心遣いをいただいて、とても感動し、思い出に残る記念日になりました。
ディナーバイキングのメニューは、見た目もきれいでおいしいお料理を少しずついただけ、デザートも美しい宝石ケースの中からかわいいデザートを選ぶ感覚になり、初日と2日目では、少しずつメニューが違っていたのも、うれしかったです。

Breakfast the morning after our visit to Kyoto in December 2023. There were a variety of Japanese and Western Western Cuisine on the menu, and of course Kyoto obansai. What I was most looking forward to was the Kyoto Pickles Buffet corner, which had 12 types of Kyoto pickles lined up, and it was a blissful moment to have a "breakfast of porridge and Kyoto pickles". Since we were basically planning to head home that day, I spent my morning leisurely tasting various dishes little by little with my husband. Not only were Restaurants staff all polite, but the most impressive thing about this visit was the bellgirl at the entrance. When we arrived at the hotel the day before, having somehow managed to do so after hurting our ankles and knees, she noticed my condition and asked if we needed a wheelchair, and kindly guided me to rest on the sofa in front of the front desk while my husband went to park the car before checking in, and carried our luggage to the room. And when I met him again the next morning in front of the entrance, before I could thank him, he spoke to me, concerned about my health. Just like my previous visit, the charm of a hotel you stay at when traveling can vary greatly depending on not only the delicious food and comfortable room, but also the thoughtfulness of the staff. I left the hotel hoping to visit again on my next trip to Kyoto.
