京都です。
京都は京都駅前。
京都タワーのビルと烏丸通りを挟んで隣り同士の、エスケービルの地下にこちらのお店がありました。
たまたまランチのお店を探してて、こちらを発見！
御池カレー680円の看板に目がとまり、よーく看板を見ると、カレーはなんとカツカレー！！
680円でカツカレーはかなり魅力的だなぁ。と、フラフラお店の中に入り、案内された席に座り、きれいにパウチされたカレーのメニューを見ると、680円のカレーはどこにも見つからない。
みなさんどれもそれなり普通なお値段で、どこに680円のカレーがあるのかな？ と、一生懸命探すと。えりました。えりました！！
カツの乗ってない、シンプルなザ・カレー、、、
それなら看板のカレーの写真に、カツがのってるのってズルイ。何とか誤認しちゃうよ。と、思ったのすが、今更お店を変えるのも面倒くさいし、そのままキチンカレー850円(税込)を注文。
こんなややこしい看板を出すお店だから、無難な印象に残らない、あまり美味しく無いカレーが出てくるに決まってる。と、タカを括っていたのですが。
おや？
カツが思ってたより暑い。
しかも、揚げたてちゃんと美味しい。
カレーも甘いようで後からしっかりスパイスが顔を出して、香りも良く。
辛さもそれなりにちゃんとあって、辛過ぎずで、なかなか美味しい。レベルが高い。
しかも、ご飯とカレーのバランスもピッタリ。
ご飯が少ないとか、ルーが足りないとか無く、絶妙にピッタリなバランス加減。
このバランスがピッタリなのは、きちんと料理と向き合ってられる証拠だと思いめした。
どっかからカレーのルーを買ってきてだけで、後は適当とかでは無い感じ。
なので、最初みくびっていたせいか、思いの外美味しくて、かなり気に入ったかも。
店員さんの接客もテキパキしてて、たまに京都人の冷たさは感じるけど、悪くはなかった。
なので、京都駅界隈でお昼の時はまた寄りたいと思います。
看板はやめた方がいいと思うけど。
