We carry local sake that can only be found in Kyoto. It's open until relatively late, so it's convenient for business travelers staying at the hotel in front of the station. Used on a business trip to Kyoto. I was staying at a hotel in front of the station and was walking down the street when I happened to find this shop with dazzling red lanterns! There is a menu outside, and you can see that you can enjoy various things such as kushikatsu, sashimi, and sake. It felt like a gamble, but I entered the store anyway. Contrary to the exterior, which looks like a popular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with its low prices, the interior has a stylish bar-like counter and plenty of table seating. A high percentage of both staff and customers are foreigners. There were times when the positions of the staff and customer were reversed, such as when the staff did not speak Japanese, so they had to explain our requests very slowly. I myself work at a foreign company, so I'm used to saying things like this on a daily basis, but other people might get a little angry. The menu is standard Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) dishes such as kushikatsu, sashimi, Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and Fried food, but it gives the impression that Kyoto style has been sprinkled in at key points. The pride of this place is that it has a wide variety of local sake made in the Kyoto area. First, listen to the staff and order the recommended local sake. Also added salads and Fried Skewers. Local sake is available by the glass and as a set that lets you compare three types of sake, and this set is by far the best deal. Since it's around 900 yen, I think it's a pretty cheap setting. I don't drink much, so I ordered the recommended [Jurakudai]. It's a round, dry sake with a nice sharpness. This is delicious! The Kyoto-style salad with yuba and tofu has a great amount of tofu. It goes well with sesame salad. I thought I'd give it a try this time since it seems like something I could make at home. The fried tofu has a large eggplant inside and is also delicious. Now, the assorted Fried Skewers are finally here! This is quite a number for the price! Of course, there are a lot of different kinds of sausages, including fish, vegetables, and raw wheat gluten. Even if you order it individually, each bottle costs 130 yen or more, which is quite reasonable considering its location in front of Kyoto Station. I wish it were a little bigger. The sliced squid Tempura that I ordered additionally was a little tasteful and I didn't like it. What I didn't expect was an assortment of three sashimi dishes. There are three types of fish here: yellowtail, horse mackerel, and salmon, and all of them are rich in fat, so I thought they would be suitable as a finishing dish. For a restaurant in front of Kyoto Station, which is full of tourists, you can enjoy alcohol and side dishes at a relatively reasonable price, so I guess it's not too bad.
