Delicious Japanese food and Kyoto oden at Daisuke. Opens at 4pm, so it's great for early drinks.
A 3-minute walk from Kyoto Station! APA Hotel Kyoto Eki Kita is the landmark for Japanese cuisine and Kyoto oden! In addition to Kyoto-style oden simmered in special dashi broth prepared daily, you ca |
This restaurant is located on the first floor of the APA Hotel. It seems that they serve breakfast to guests in the morning. I visited for lunch this time. The entrance is narrow, but the back was larger than I expected. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they only operated at the counter, so this was my first time going inside. At lunch, everyone seemed to order the daily special, and the way they took my order was, "Is the daily special okay?" lol The daily special on that day was a set of three kinds of sashimi, Small dish, miso soup with assorted side dishes, and rice. It felt like breakfast when I stayed at Ryokan. The sashimi was horse mackerel, sea bream, and yellowtail? This was surprisingly delicious. It was fatty and didn't have a fishy smell. Small dish was mixed with okra and plum. The okra was large and a bit stringy, which was a bit of a problem. The side dishes were tamagoyaki, macaroni, mentaiko, and pickled vegetables. The tamagoyaki was more like tamagoyaki than dashi roll. It was unlucky that it was just a piece on the edge. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
