I had no plan for this day either, so I strolled around Shijo Karasuma at lunchtime. I found an underground dining area in a building along Karasuma Street, so I decided to sneak in. I visited this Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that serves Hakata and Kyushu cuisine. It seems that you order at the register when you enter the restaurant and then pay, so I ordered the "Daily Set Meal (780 yen)" that caught my eye from the rich menu of about 20 items. After that, I went to the booth seat with the designated number. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the food arrived. This is a "miso cutlet" with freshly fried pork cutlet and sauce? ... and two main plates of "fried bean sprouts and pork". The meal consisted of cabbage and spaghetti salad, kiriboshi daikon, pickles, miso soup, and a lot of rice. Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at a large izakaya may be a strong point for office workers.
