烏丸駅より徒歩3〜5分の場所にあるエスニック料理屋さん ビリヤニ専門店 INDIA GATE。
京都の繁華街から少し外れたところの、角地で営業されているこちらのお店。2023年アジア・エスニックwest百名店に選出されています。
外観からは分かりづらいですが、実は2階にもカウンター席が用意されており、そこまで並ばずに入れるのも魅力。以前夜に足を運んだら閉まっていたので、ランチ利用の方が確実です。

◾鯛出汁チキンビリヤニ、チキンビリヤニのハーフ、お蕎麦屋さんのチキンカレー、スパイス玉子
鯛の旨味がしっかりと染み込んだ風味豊かな鯛出汁チキンビリヤニと、ピリッとした辛味もありつつ、骨付き鶏肉のタンパクな味が嬉しいチキンビリヤニは、どちらもふわふわパラパラ食感のバスマティライスに風味や味が乗っていて食べ応え抜群。
ほのかに甘味もある半熟トロトロの玉子と、出汁の香りも感じるお蕎麦屋さんのチキンカレーも、バスマティライスと相性が良くボリュームをプラスしてくれました！
