京都市の烏丸御池駅近くにある人気蕎麦店『蕎麦 もうやん』。
元々は北山にて、蕎麦創作料理や酒肴のある蕎麦居酒屋として1998年に「蕎麦工房もうやん」をオープン。
2004年にモダンなくつろぎの空間「SOBAダイニングもうやん」として店舗を拡張リニューアル。
現在の場所には2016年6月に移転し、お客さんと接しやすいカウンター8席のみの小さな店舗にしたそうです。
場所は烏丸御池駅の1番出口より徒歩2分の距離。
駐車場は近隣コインパーキングになります。
この日は平日の木曜日、お店には12時40分頃に訪問。
店内には先客が4人いました。
メニューはオーソドックスなものだけでなく創作性の高いものが多い印象。
特に惹かれたのが「田舎十割もり」ですが、残念ながらこちらはもう売り切れでした。
隣の席の方が食べていたので、無くなった直後というタイミングで惜しかったです。
結局今回は京都名物のにしんそばの進化版のような『にしんなすおろしそば』を注文！
【にしんなすおろしそば】1200円(税込)
かけそばではなく冷たいぶっかけタイプのおろしそばに、身欠きにしんの甘露煮となすをトッピングしたもの。
蕎麦は中細くらいで程よくコシのある歯切れの良い食感。
つゆは甘露煮の甘辛い味が混ざってコクがあり、出汁の旨味もしっかり効いてとても美味しいです。
にしんも美味しいですが、何気に脂を吸ったなすがこってりジューシーで驚きの美味しさ。
そこにサッパリとしたおろしが相性抜群で、期待以上に美味しい組み合わせでした。
蕎麦は並盛でしたが、にしんが大きいのでなかなか食べ応えもあり満足！
