京都で昼飲みできる蕎麦屋を探していたら、ここを見つけた。智恵院通り、落ち着いた和の設えのお店。店内は先客1名で、私たちが食べ終わるまでにもう1人来た位、混み合う事はなかった。

お昼のセットメニュー(2310円 当時)があるので、とりあえずそれを頼み、後はアラカルトでオーダー。恵比寿の生ビールから日本酒へと飲み進め、アテは京鴨肉モモのコンフィやアスパラガスなどをいただく。セットの3品盛り合わせを含め、お酒も進む内容だった。

蕎麦は常陸秋蕎麦の十割。30メッシュを通した粗挽きの蕎麦粉だが、つなぎを使っていないところがこだわりだろう。香りもほのかに感じ、悪くないお蕎麦だった。遊び心がありながらも、戦略的な面を兼ね揃えた店主だと推察される。
