入館するとまずは風呂が良い。温泉でもなんでもないが窓を開け放って辺りのマンションが見えたりするのだが、足を投げ出して肩までつかる。
次いで本を読んで部屋に寝転がる。
食事は京都のちょっとした割烹料亭レベルである。
しかし一流店の高額コースを食べている人には感動はともなわない。
でもちゃんとおいしい。
できれば一階の部屋が良い。
廊下が良い。
玄関が良い。
高い旅館だからといってビックリするようなサプライズがあるわけではない。
帰って、しかも一ヶ月位してからまた俵屋に泊まりたいな、と思わせる旅館である。
