漫画家よしながふみ氏の『きのう何食べた?』の作中で紹介されていた旅館。今回で3回目の訪問です。
京都老舗三大旅館、柊屋、炭屋、俵屋、全てに宿泊経験がありますが、サービス面で頭一つ出ていると感じるのが、この俵屋旅館さんです。
本当に京都の街中にある旅館なのか？と思われるほど静かな空間、上品で落ち着いた和の調度品、一枚の絵画を見ている様な美しい坪庭、歴史と伝統を感じせる共用スペース、全てがさりげなく心を癒やしてくれます。
食事は上品で物腰が柔らかい中居さんが部屋に運んでくれます。部屋食なのに一品一品丁度食べ終わるタイミングで膳を下げに来て次の料理を運んでくれます。流石は老舗旅館といった感じでしょうか。中居さんの襖の開け方閉め方、料理の出し方に至るまで、丁寧で美しいです。お作法のお手本を見ているみたい。茶の湯の心得があるのでしょうか。
料理は、京懐石料理です。一つ一つ丁寧且つ上品に設られています。お皿に盛られた料理は見た目も鮮やかで美しくてまるでアート作品の様です。
全てはんなりと京料理らしい上品で優しい味付け。
材料も全て旬の最高の物と思われる物を使用されています。当然手抜きなど入る余地はありません。
今の日本の旅館業界で最高のおもてなし体験ができるのは俵屋旅館さんを措いて他にはありません。
是非また訪問したいです。
