京都御所の南側にある手打ちそば屋。食べログでの評価は3.57(2023.08.17)と一応は高評価店です。
日曜日の12時半頃の到着で、店外で待っている方が4名。順番待ちの帳面に名前を記入し、席が空くのを待ちます。店先で待ってもいいですし、順番が来たら店側から連絡をもらい戻ってきてもいいようです。それほど時間は掛かるまいと高を括りその場で待つことを選択したのですが、暑い中30分以上店先で待つ羽目になってしまいました。
鴨付けそば(1450円)を注文。店先に到着してから商品提供までで計1時間。
そばは香りに乏しく、特段上手に打たれているとは感じませんでした。加えて、そばとそば汁の味のバランスが悪く、そばがそば汁に負けてしまっているとの印象も受けました。店側は鴨付けそばには田舎そばが合うとしているようですが、たしかに田舎そばの方がバランスは良さそうな気がします。
価格自体は適正の範囲内と言えるのかもしれませんが、この程度の味・価格でここまで並ぶのはナンセンスでしょう。オペレーションはもう少し何とかならないものかなと。
