[Empoka Kyoto/Karasuma] Tabelog 3.73 (May 3, 2024) Selected as one of the 100 Best Pizza Shops in 2023❗️ This is a famous restaurant that has been a regular in the 100 best pizza shops in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023. This was my first visit, but the restaurant was renovated from a Kyoto townhouse and has a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere. As soon as I entered, I was excited to the max. * I ordered the lunch course for 3,900 yen. The pizza is half and half, so you can get one pizza of two types for two people. There are five people in my family, so I got three pizzas of six types. * [Appetizer] ・Jamon Serrano and Jamon Iberico and salad ・Grilled spring vegetables [Soup] ・New onion soup [Pizza] ・Margherita ・Quattro Formaggi ・Bamboo shoots ・Sakura shrimp ・Sansho pepper, Kujo green onions and whitebait ・Beef tendon burdock * Pizza made with Japanese-style meal ingredients such as bamboo shoots, sakura shrimp, and Kujo green onions was super delicious❗️ The light seasoning brought out the flavor of the ingredients and the crispy and crunchy pizza dough was really delicious. * We had grilled vegetables with salt, and they were also delicious. I felt that they used very good ingredients that were carefully selected. * The soup was also delicious, and it was so delicious that my daughters said, "I want a second helping." * * We thoroughly enjoyed a family get-together. * It's a really happy time to eat delicious food while sharing it and saying, "It's delicious❗️". Conversation naturally flowed and smiles abounded. * The seat we were shown to was a bit like a Japanese-style room, and although we had to keep our shoes on, it had a structure like a sunken kotatsu, so it was nice to feel a bit isolated from the surroundings. * Thank you for providing an environment where I could spend a happy time.
