コロナ禍以降、故あってアーティスト活動している。
墨と筆を使って描く墨象アートというジャンルである。
奥様のエカテリーナ2世のススメで始めてみたのだが、
面白いことに評価されるのだ。
2022年10月に京都で行われた展覧会で京都府知事賞を頂き、
その直後、京都で展覧会を行った。
木屋町で1週間ほどだったのだが、
その最後の週末にエカ様においで頂いた。
ホテルはザ・リッツカールトン京都。
当然ホテル内のレストランかしら、と思っていたら
エカ様はこちらの席を予約されていた。
なんでも高名なワインバーらしい。
場所は、ザ・リッツカールトン京都のすぐお隣。
２階はカクテル、１階はワインバー。
ワインバーと隣接してウィスキーもあるようだ。
少し変わったお店。
落ち着いた店内は下から上への間接照明が印象的だ。
雰囲気は少し優しい感じ。
いわゆるモダンとかシャープなイメージの店作りではない。
カウンターには常連さんがズラリ。
そして入れ替わり立ち替わりの来客。
一人客も多い。
そんな中でこだわりのシャンパーニュ、フランチャコルタ、ワインが
もちろんグラスで頂ける。
エカ様もクリュッグなどを嬉々として飲んでおられる。
こちらチーズのラインナップは見事。
ワインとチーズの豊穣さに対してフードは思いの外カジュアル。
普通の洋食と思しきものも並ぶ。
そしてこちらの名物の一つはホットケーキ。
ブランデーでフランベしているらしい。
確かに香り高い、大人のスイーツ。
ワインにも合う。
何を飲んだかは、失念しちゃったよ。
