~A hidden authentic Japanese-style meal restaurant in the back alleys of Jingu Marutamachi that only those in the know will know about and that you'll want to keep secret~
Located at the end of a narrow street near Jingu-Marutamachi Station on the Keihan Line. This hideaway-like restaurant is loved by a wide range of people, from university professors to fellow food and |
This is a restaurant I've always wanted to go to. They only serve omakase courses in the evening, and they serve according to price, so I ordered 5,000 yen. First they brought me rice porridge, and said it would warm my stomach. I had Kubota Koju. They said they have a wide variety of Kubota dishes, and there were no prices on the menu. Soon they brought out hassun, which made the sake go down well. They served a variety of elaborate dishes, including sashimi, Simmered dish, and grilled dishes, all made by the chef himself. The female owner sat in a chair opposite the counter and explained various things to me. Her eyesight was poor and she couldn't help the chef, but the female owner asked me to take a photo of the handsome chef, so I showed him. The 100% buckwheat soba noodles for the final course were very chewy and thin. It was my first time eating soba noodles with salt, and the salt was delicious. They also had Date's special salt. I was also given buckwheat soup, which warmed my stomach and made me full. They apparently serve soba noodles for lunch, and they showed me the menu. For 100% buckwheat soba, it was very good value for money. I'm accompanying the female owner to a medical appointment, so it seems to be reservations only. The friendly relationship between the two makes me want to visit this restaurant again.
