京都にはたくさん有名なお茶の専門店がある。
京都市役所前駅から歩いて5分程の骨董品や美術品などのお店が並ぶ寺町通りにある『一保堂茶舗 京都本店』。
1717年(享保2年)創業の老舗のお茶の名店である。
一保堂のお茶は宇治発祥の「宇治製法」によって作られたものが中心で、店内では抹茶・玉露・煎茶・番茶など様々な種類のお茶が販売されている。
秋の京都に行ったついでに『一保堂茶舗 京都本店』を訪問し、お茶を購入した。

◉京都本店は6月30日から年末まで改装工事中のため、本店の東側の仮店舗で営業していた。
「喫茶室 嘉木」は休業中のため、お茶を購入した後、店内にある椅子に座ってテイクアウトの淹れ立ての玉露を飲ませて頂いた。
いつ飲んでも『一保堂茶舗』のお茶はさすがに美味い！
