I went out to eat French cuisine with my family. We had a small child, so we reserved a private room. I'm sure there was no extra charge for a private room. The lobby of the ANA Hotel Kyoto was decorated with beautiful flowers. The Rose Room was on the first basement floor, next to Steak restaurant [a:26001162, Nijo]. We entered the restaurant, glancing at the wine cellar. The private room was near the entrance. We had a small child, so we felt embarrassed to go through the dining room, so this was a great convenience. We settled down at the table and were given a glass of white wine. My daughter seemed to sense a different atmosphere from usual, with the table setting decorated with plates. We were primping. For finger food, we had a leaf-shaped pie, which was rich, but did not interfere with the food that followed. Amuse-bouche was served with the drink. The use of herbs was exquisite, and even though it was just a bite, the aroma seemed to increase the appetite. The first appetizer was lobster royale, zucchini chemise and Aburgha caviar. The sauce around it was made with lobster, and it was rich, adding a different flavor to the light lobster. It was my first time to try Aburgha caviar, but it was very soft. My daughter's course was corn soup. She was completely absorbed in the soup. Our soup also came. Truffle consommé with foie gras ravioli. It had a nice aroma. It was rich and flavorful, but not too heavy. There was only one ravioli, but I think the amount was just right. The plate for my daughter arrived. Fillet Steak, fried shrimp, and potato gratin, a truly luxurious children's lunch. It was dinner, but... I immediately reached for the fried shrimp. I had been using cutlery properly up until this point, but when something I like comes, I just can't help but reach for it. The next dish was prepared for the adults. Softly roasted live abalone and lotus root glace The abalone was soft, and I ate the abalone while enjoying the texture of the vegetables. In fact, the abalone had a softer texture. There were three main Meat Dishes to choose from. I chose duck, roasted Charentais Étouffée duck breast, sauce Médoc, and smothered duck. Even in summer, it was a luxury to be able to eat duck with the taste of blood. Just hearing the name of the menu, I could imagine the taste, but it was precisely because it was such a standard dish that I wanted to eat it at a hotel Restaurants. The aroma was good, and the flavor permeated the meat. The red wine sauce was just right, and I dipped it in Guérande rock salt or marmalade. This course also came with cheese. It was Mimolette and goat cheese. For dessert, I chose the Rose Room original cake and sorbet, a four-item assortment dessert The cake was white peach, pudding, and fruit, and the one in front was shiso sorbet, which was unusual. The sorbet had a slight plum scent. Compared to the food, there was not much to see in the desserts. After enjoying the desserts, I was given an espresso after the meal. I was grateful to the restaurant for the service, even though I had a child with me.
