二年振りに京都東急ホテルの中華でランチを思い、行ってみたら二年前とは違う店になっていました。中国王朝料理レストラン星ヶ岡中に入れば、以前の店とは雰囲気が全く店でした。
私のホテルの中華レストランでのランチメニューの定番が坦々麺。嫁に「又、坦々麺？」と言われながらも注文。
しばらく待って料理が登場。コクがあり、麻と辣がうまくバランスが取れた美味しい味ですが、麻の強いのが好きな私には少し口の中に広がる痺れ感に物足りなさを感じました。うれしかったのが、穴の開いたレンゲ。今まで何軒もの京都のホテルで坦々麺を食べてきましたが、初めて見ました。
今までは麺が先に無くなってしまい、器の底に具が残ってしまうことがほとんどでしたが、器の底のミンチ肉やナッツが簡単にすくえて、麺と具とを丁度の割合口まで持ってゆける。穴の開いたレンゲを添えられている。実に食べる側のことを考えた心配りだと思いました。大げさといわれるかも知れませんが感動さえしました。
もちろんホールの方の気配り心配りもよく、非常に気持ちよく店を出ることができました。また利用してみたい店です。
