洛中で、西大路五条(国道9号線)の南東角に、在ります京都王将 西大路五条店です。
昼を食べそびれ、西大路七条近辺を散策していると、偶然行当りました。
洛中の京都王将では、ノーマークでした。
店舗は平屋ですが、規模は大きめです。
店舗オリジナルメニューも有りますが、定番の中華飯と、棒々鶏に致します。
2023年9月現在(税込) 中華飯 561円、棒々鶏 495円
棒々鶏(バンバンジー)は、京都王将HPの西日本レギュラーメニューに掲載されているにも拘わらず、提供する店舗は、意外と少ないレアメニューです。
棒棒鶏は、あまり知られていない四川料理でしたが、昭和の時代、日清飯店が、棒棒鶏と豆板醬という袋ラーメンを発売して、知名度が上がりました。

それまでは、仮面ライダーシリーズの ”がんがんじい" は、知ってましたが、バンバンジイは、全く知りませんでした。
また、話が逸れました。
棒々鶏は、スライスした蒸し鶏に、ゴマダレを掛けて生野菜を添えた料理です。
四川省では、蒸し鶏に唐辛子の効いた四川ソースを掛けるレシピですが、我ニッポンでは、ゴマダレに変ってます。
今回は、そのまま戴きましたが、辣油を加えた方が良いやも知れません。
生野菜は、唐揚げ(エンザーキー)より多いですが、サラダとしては少ないです。
蒸し鶏は食感が良く、美味しく戴けます。
後は、ソースの好みですかな。
中華飯は、安定のあっさりとした味わいです。
まあ、今回は生姜の香りが弱い程度です。
セットの玉子スープは薄味ですが、今回は醤油ベースのしっかりした味わいでした。
