Click here for Part 4 of the Choi Drinking Series... On the way home from work on the weekend, I ended up enjoying a small series of Sushi drinks. It was near Hankyu Omiya Station, so I felt like I could have a quick drink and go home... The shop is small with only a counter and about 10 seats. I had learned from my prior knowledge that there was a Choi Drinking Course (3,000 yen), so I ordered that. Contents of the Choi Drinking Course You can choose one drink, I ordered potato shochu mixed with water. One dish: Seared Mahwabuta. It was a very delicious dish with seared kingfish on the bottom, lightly seared fugu meat that had a slightly crunchy texture, fugu sashimi, and delicious ponzu sauce. Assorted sashimi - 5 types of sashimi, hamachi, shimamaji, hamachi, mackerel, and sea bream, all of which are fresh and tasty. The mackerel is seasoned with strong vinegar. The wasabi is a real wasabi, and it's also old. I was told that there would be 5 pieces Sushi, but maybe it was the service, but it was only 6 pieces. 6 types of horse mackerel, flounder, tuna, sea bream, mahachi, and squid. The small sushi rice is a little softer. The vinegar is a little strong, but it doesn't have an unpleasant sweet taste. It had red sea bream in it. That's all for the course, but since I came to Sushi restaurant I haven't been to in a while, I decided to ask for more. Served with 2 pieces each of sea urchin and chicken shellfish. It's been a while since I've had sea urchin, but it's still delicious. Although the chicken shellfish is small in size, it has always been my favorite topping. So, the total payment was 4,800 yen. I had a light drink, a dish, a sashimi platter, 6 pieces Sushi, red dashi soup, and an additional 2 pieces of sea urchin and torigai.The price seemed cheap for this part of the town. It was a pretty nice restaurant for a quick drink. The story was pretty good too... 3.3
