京都らしい、風情のあるお店です。
細長～い町家の奥に、厨房とお席があり、お席からはお庭も楽しめます。
それにしても、ここまで奥が長い町家は京都でも珍しいです。
有名歌舞伎役者も泊まるという、京都随一の老舗旅館「柊屋」の元料理長だけあって、味は確かです。素材も新鮮で、とても手が込んでいます。
特にアワビはたっぷり入っていて、大満足！このコースのお値段でこのアワビの質と量は驚きです。
大将は北海道出身だそうで、京都の有名店に多い「ある種の近寄り難さ」は全くなく、とても気さくな方でした。リラックスした雰囲気で「柊屋」さん水準のお料理が、宿泊代無しで食べられるのは、とても貴重なお店と思います。
（余談）
大将の修業時代のお話しもいっぱい聞けて楽しかったです。
ちなみに「柊屋」の読み方、「ひらぎや」「ひいらぎや」どちらが正解か昔から悩んでいたのですが、どちらも正解だそうです^^スッキリしました。

半年ぶり、2回目の訪問ですが、同じコースでも季節によって内容はかなり変わるようです。
筍に蛤、嬉しいです^^ ぷりっぷりの蛍イカは、あま～い♪ しかもお連れ様は、貝柱の炙りと菜の花！
前回インパクトの強かった「蒸鮑のお椀」は今回も登場したので、人気メニューだと思われます。
触発されて、週末ロピアで500円の鮑を調達し、銀座渡利さんのYouTuteを見ながら実験中！
実はこのお店で知り合った方に、先に投稿した「竹きし」さんを紹介いただきました^^
博多から来られている方で、なんでも京都ではこの2店しか行かないとのこと。
コース料金以外の追加チャージがとても良心的に感じます。
席数も多いので、予約も比較的とりやすいと思います。
